By CC
I haven't tried coffee beans with this, but that's not what I bought it for. I bought it because I wanted to make finely ground blanched almond flour, and it whipped it up in a few quick pulses, and gave me a very fine ground, I would say much finer that Bob's Red-mill. The container size at this price is great as well. I got this just before the price jumped up to $16, and I can't say that I would have bought if for the extra $2 dollars because although they are smaller, there are quite a few options that are closer to the $12 range, but for the $14 that I paid I would say this has almost already paid for itself, because a pound of finely ground almond flour is at least $11, and now I can make it for less than half that price (and I use a lot of almond flour).Updated:I took off one star because as I was using my freshly ground almond flour I found a few small pieces of almond that did not grind, I threw them back in and for the life of me they would not grind down. I'm not sure if they kept going underneath the blade. I still really like the grinder though, because for all of the almonds that did get ground it was a great fine texture, now I'll just expect I will have to sift for pieces that don't get ground.Latest Update:I have decided to return the grinder. While It performed well during the first use. Every use after that (about 4 total), after grinding for about 2 seconds I can smell the motor burning. That doesn't make me very confident about the quality of the product or that it will last long, or not cause a fire. So I think the safest thing is to just buy a different brand.
