No instructions were included with this item so I tried, unsuccessfully, to locate them on the net for 20 minutes. I finally had to call Braun customer service (they were very kind and helpful, by the way). Here is what I was told:First, get a heavy towel to protect your hand while you grasp the blades (your best towel isn't recommended for this). Grasp the blades securely so they cannot move;Second, get a small flat-head screwdriver. Insert this into the bottom slot of the unit. This will stop the movement of the blade;Third, turn the blade counterclockwise to remove. Use the towel to grasp the new blade and install same in a clockwise motion.Hope this helps!

my old one gave out after many years. this is a great replacement. easy to install. grinder now works like new.

This was an exact replacement for my Braun KSM2. Replacement was a simple matter. Stainless steel blade just like the original. I replaced the blade because it had finally broken, but I didn't realized how it had dulled over the years. This not only got the grinder working again, but put new life into it, grinding very quickly and efficiently. Highly recommended!
