Product Description
The Gaggia MDF Grinder is a commercial grade burr grinder equal to those found in Europe's espresso bars and restaurants. Automatic dosing allows a premeasured amount of ground coffee to drop directly into the filter holder. Pull the lever once for one cup espresso, or twice for 2 cups. Precision-machined grinding burrs can be easily adjusted for 39 different degrees of fineness. The large hopper holds 10 ounces of coffee beans. Easy to use and perfect results are achieved each time. Please note that most grinders are tested at the manufacturer and coffee grounds may be found in the grinder as a result. All machines sold are new unless otherwise clearly stated.

I've had this machine (Gaggia MDF) for over 10 years. It does have a non slip base and perhaps with a clean counter it would stay in place.It broke and I called the importer/distributor in Rochester NY.They sent me three manuals and I was able to fix it and recalibrate it myself.The machine works perfectly well and is made if metal and very sturdy allowing it to grind without shaking or making too much noise.It also has a classic look.I highly recommend it.Bruce Siegel

For $200 this coffee grinder sucks. It's missing nice/easy to add features, like rubber stoppers on the bottom!! Both hands are busy, one holding the espresso handle and one operating the doser and the machine slides all over the counter. Also the doser never worked on my machine. It never dispensed the correct amount of coffee...and the coffee that came out of the dispenser went everywhere. Plus the dispenser handle was less than smooth to pull. I hate this machine.

Makes a huge difference in coffee quality if you compare it to a blade grinder. Love it. Only drawback : the portafilter does not fit 100% in the grinder so every time some of the ground coffee spills. Gaggia could do better on this one. Overall, great choice.
